Stone arches, torchlight and a staircase disappearing into the keep — William Castle is the most architectural build in the range, and the widest at 29 cm.

Finished size: 29 × 18.5 × 11 cm

Four versions

  • With Music and Cover — music box plus acrylic dust cover.
  • With Dust Cover — keeps the finished build clean.
  • With Music Box — adds a wind-up movement.
  • Only Book Nook — the standard kit.

What's in the box

This is a DIY book nook kit, not a finished model. Inside the box you get pre-cut wooden pieces, the printed step-by-step manual, the LED light set and a dust cover — everything except glue and batteries.

Before you start

  • Glue, batteries and tools are not included — they can't be shipped by air, so buy them locally before you start.
  • Recommended for ages 14+; the pieces are small.
  • Clear a table you can leave set up for a few evenings.

FAQ

Will it fit on my bookshelf? Yes — it's sized to slide between standard hardbacks. Leave a little clearance at the back for the light cable and dust cover.

How long does it take? Plan on a few evenings — roughly 6–12 hours depending on how fussy you are with the details. Many builders split it across a weekend.

Does it come with lights? No built-in lighting in this kit. If you want it lit, a short battery LED strip fits neatly behind the finished build.

How big is it when finished? The finished William Castle measures about 29 × 18.5 × 11 cm — check it against your shelf before ordering.

Do I need glue, batteries or tools? Glue and batteries aren't included because they can't be shipped by air. You'll want craft glue (or wood glue) and no batteries for this model. A small craft knife and tweezers help with the finer pieces.

Is it beginner friendly? Yes, if you can follow an illustrated manual. It's a satisfying step up from the smallest kits: more pieces, more detail, but no special skills or tools needed.
