What's in the box

This is a DIY book nook kit, not a finished model. Inside the box you get pre-cut wooden pieces, the printed step-by-step manual, the LED light set and a dust cover — everything except glue and batteries.

Before you start

  • Glue and batteries are not in the box (shipping rules), so get them first.
  • Ages 14+ recommended — small parts, fine detail.
  • Dry-fit each section before you commit with glue.

FAQ

Is it beginner friendly? Yes, if you can follow an illustrated manual. It's a satisfying step up from the smallest kits: more pieces, more detail, but no special skills or tools needed.

Will it fit on my bookshelf? Yes — it's sized to slide between standard hardbacks. Leave a little clearance at the back for the light cable and dust cover.

Does it come with lights? Yes — an LED light set is in the box, so the finished piece glows once you add batteries.

Do I need glue, batteries or tools? Glue and batteries aren't included because they can't be shipped by air. You'll want craft glue (or wood glue) and a couple of AA/AAA batteries for the LED light. A small craft knife and tweezers help with the finer pieces.

How big is it when finished? It's designed to sit on a standard bookshelf between your books — roughly the footprint of a hardback, so measure your gap first.

How long does it take? Plan on a few evenings — roughly 6–12 hours depending on how fussy you are with the details. Many builders split it across a weekend.
